A day no one should ever have to go experience has happened and we are currently living through it. Our 2 year old daughter Wednesday was admitted to CHKD on Saturday 8/16, after some imaging found that Winnie has a round mass behind her left eye and sinus cavity, and a second mass in her abdomen above her right kidney. Currently the doctors are concerned of Neuroblastoma, and are working to confirm or rule that out. Our Winnie will have to undergo multiple procedures, not only to figure out exactly what is going on, but to help her get back healthy again. Unfortunately, this level of care comes at a cost and we are asking, and pleading, that anyone able to please help us get our spunky and sassy Winnie girl to ring the remission bell! One way or another she will be herself again, and we know she will. Thank you all for your love, prayers, good thoughts, and support, we appreciate more than words could describe. If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting our girl, here is a poem to describe her. Who is Winnie In a garden where flowers sway, lives a girl named Wednesday with laughter like sunshine; warm and bold. Her spirit’s a treasure, more precious than gold. She’s got twinkling eyes and a mischievous grin, She’ll splash through puddles, inviting you in. A hug like a blanket, cozy and tight, sassy little dances that spark pure delight. Her dreams are like bubbles on a breezy day, Ambitions like fireflies, lighting the way. May we all find a piece of her play, In the whimsy of life, the bright bits of gray. Heres to dear Wednesday, joyous and free, A reminder of magic, for you and for me.
